Australia’s financial wellbeing: an integrated approach (2026) is a significant report launched by Wellbeing Research, marking a new phase in over 20 years of work on financial wellbeing. Led by Honorary Professor Roslyn Russell, in partnership with RMIT University and funded by Ecstra Foundation, the report brings together Australian and international evidence, expert interviews, and cross-sector insights.

The report argues that financial wellbeing must be understood as part of broader wellbeing, and that technology, health, and climate change are key forces shaping our financial lives. It calls for a coordinated, integrated response, including a National Financial Wellbeing Strategy to guide policy, regulation, education, and practice.
